Claire & Troy's Seared Sesame Tuna.
Ingredients
Fresh Tora Tuna
Oil - chef’s choice (avocado, olive & sesame go good)
Black & white sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Prep Your Tuna Grab our market-fresh tuna steaks!
2. Sesame Mix: On a flat plate, mix equal parts of white and black sesame seeds (if you can get them!). Drizzle your tuna with your preferred oil, then press each side of your tuna steaks into the sesame seeds to coat.
3. Sear It: Heat a pan with a little oil over medium - high heat. When it’s hot, lay your tuna in for just 30 seconds on each side or 1 minute if you prefer it more cooked. We're looking for golden sesame edge and a pink centre.
4. Serve Up: Slice the tuna against the grain, sprinkle with flakey sea salt (as per your taste) and serve it atop an Asian-style salad; think julienned carrots, edamame beans, herbs and lemon!
