kina butter

There’s nothing we enjoy more than kina on toast! Check out this easy, two-ingredient recipe for decadent toast for a special treat.

1. Remove Kina Roe and remove any guts (the red/purple stuff)
2. Press kina through a sieve (do this a few of times to make it fine)
3. Get some good quality butter at room temperature. The ratio of kina:butter really depends on how flavorsome you want your butter. Personal preference!
4. Add the kina to the butter, and start 'smushing' with a fork.
5. Once combined as best you can, get out your whisk and fluff that baby up. You'll know once you've hit the spot.
6. Additional extras: salt, pepper or a squeeze of lemon as you like.

Voila! Slap it onto some crunchy toast enjoy!
