FRIED PĀUA WITH GARLIC & BUTTER

You’ve prepped your fresh Pāua and are ready to start cooking.

Here’s a very simple frying recipe from our whare to yours.

FRYING PĀUA

The simplest, and a favourite in our home.

  1. Once your Pāua has been shucked and tenderised, slice into 1-2cm pieces.

  2. Chop up lots of garlic, at least half a bulb (but suit your taste buds, not ours!)

  3. Turn the BBQ, hotplate or castiron pan on high. Add 1 TBsp of olive oil.

  4. Once the pan is hot, add a good amount of natural butter.

  5. Once the butter is melting, add the garlic and crackle of sea salt & pepper.

  6. Throw the Pāua in the pan and cook till desired!

  7. Serve with lemon.
