We're Troy and Claire, the proud owners and fishers of Tora Collective, navigating our way towards sustainability in our own backyard by working with the ocean to provide you with the freshest catch. Tora is a hidden gem, tucked away in an untouched corner of New Zealand, where we embark on wild free dives and set sail on our waka, Takitimu, to catch your seafood bounty. From the moment it's harvested from the sea till it arrives at your doorstep, we handle every aspect with care and dedication. Our mission is clear: to bring you the freshest seafood while preserving the natural beauty of our backyard for generations to come.

To ensure the sustainability of our crayfish population, we only catch male crayfish and release all female crayfish back into the ocean to ensure our stocks stay strong. With each female producing up to 500,000 eggs per year, we're doing our part to keep the population thriving.

By harvesting small amounts from different areas weekly, we minimize our impact on the environment and waste. We are dedicated to responsible pāua harvesting. To ensure the long-term sustainability of this precious resource, we have set our own minimum size requirement, above the commercial standards. By harvesting larger pāua, we contribute to keeping our breeders in the moana, and more fish in the moana each year. We are proud to play a proactive role in safeguarding this marine treasure for generations to come.
